    I think the game is plenty tough enough! Just look at the injury lists for the clubs!

    But how much of that is from contact or is it from soft tissue injurys from a specific hard ground and from the spead of the game?

    You only need to go to the games and hear the body on body contact from
    ground level. The dirty hits are leaving and if you miss them, go watch UFC
    or something.

    Yes I agree that the hits are just as hard and the Barry Hall hits are not as common but however how many injuries are from hits and body contact? I would suggest most are from over training, hard grounds, body stressed etc and not from hits of the game.
